Hello and Welcome to the
(Unofficial) IPCop Firewall Addon Server

These MOD's (Modifications) have been written by many different people from around the world.
Some of these can and will reduce the security of your IPCop Firewall.
These ARE NOT authorized modifications, they have NOT been reviewed and approved by the IPCop Development Team.
Use these MOD's at your own risk, there is NO warranty or guarantee.
Unless otherwise noted, the MOD's on this site are written in English.
If anyone is interested in translating these MOD's into any other Language, see the Language PAKS page.
For those of you that want to write MOD's I have written a 'How-to'
How to Install the Addon Server MOD
To use the MOD's on this site please download install the Addon ServerMOD.
To install the Addon Server MOD, download the file, copy the file to the / (root) directory your IPCop with Winscp,
for Windows or use scp for Linux.
Next log in as root on your IPCop, either from the console, or download and install Putty For Windows.
When logged in type cd / to go the / (root) directory, then type tar zxvf addons-2 press the TAB key and you should see
tar zxvf addons-2.2-CLI-b2.tar.gz (or the name of the current version)
press return to extract.
(Note : If you do not see the complete file name you will have to type the whole name, exactly as it is written, CLI is in upper case.)
Type cd /addons to change to the addons directory, then type (period-slash setup dash i) ./setup -i to install.
To uninstall the Addon Server MOD, log into your IPCop and change to the addons directory and type ./setup -u
The Addon Server MOD is as easy to use as the Update System menu.
And will be located in the system section of your IPCop interface.

If upgrading from Version 2.1 to 2.2, Copy the new file to your IPCop log in to the console the issue the following commands.
rm -Rf /addons   (or backup somewhere )
tar vxzf addons-2.2-CLI-b2.tar.gz -C /
cd /addons
./setup -u (ignore errors about missing files/dirs)
./setup -i
Changes include an Addon News page, Addon-updates page, an Addons-info page, and a library file. Also included is a /devel directory that contains 'mkaddon' with instructions for writting your own MODS.

Version and build information is now included with the 2.2, and will notify you when a newer version is released.
Also included is filtering for the Package groups and Language paks.
The Addons-news page is for announcements about addons and updates for the Addon-Server and MODS.
The Addons-updates page is for adding Language PAKS and updates to MOD's
The Addon-info page is for viewing the 'README' files packaged with the MOD's
Also Version 2.2 contains a library file to make installing MOD's easier.
Version 2.2 has been tested with IPCop 1.3.0 fixes 1-9 and 1.4.0 and is version independent.

NOTE: With the release of 2.2 the MOD names will be shortened from Widgets-1.0-1.3.0-5-GUI-b2.tar.gz to Widgets-1.0-GUI-b2.tar.gz
and the MODS will be tested and released ONLY for the version of IPCop that they are written for.

Due to the changes in the format a different install process is required.

If upgrading from Version 1.0 or Version 1.01, Uninstall all MOD's using the MOD-remove packages, Then copy the new file to your IPCop log in to the console and issue the following commands.
./setup -u
rm -Rf /addons (or backup somewhere)
tar vxzf addons-2.1-CLI-b2.tar.gz -C /
cd /addons
./setup -i

If upgrading from Version 2.0 to 2.1, Copy the new file to your IPCop log in to the console the issue the following commands.
rm -Rf /addons   (or backup somewhere )
tar vxzf addons-2.1-CLI-b2.tar.gz -C /
cd /addons
./setup -u (ignore errors about missing files/dirs)
./setup -i

NOTE: After installing Addons Server 2.1, you should install Backup-Patch to fix backup-issues!

NOTE: If you have installed your IPCop with a Backup-Disk, you should check and see (and delete it if it exists) if the folder at /var/ipcop/addons exists before installing Addons Server to avoid problems!
